“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
It is wonderful to have goals but it is not enough to just have goals. It is essential that you also develop a plan to achieve those goals. Without the plan or action steps to achieve the goals, the goals are nothing but a wish.
Secret of Happiness | Happiness Wisdom
“The secret of happiness, you see is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.”
The more desires one has, the more time is spent in achieving those desires. When some of those desires are not fulfilled, one feels frustrated and upset. The secret to true happiness is limiting these desires and developing the capacity to enjoy with less.
Learn from every situation
“If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself.” – Confucius
There is always an opportunity to learn whether good or bad situation. Adapt the good behavior of others and learn from the bad behavior of others and correct them in yourself.
Mind and Memory Boosters (MMBs)
At first, the answer to last week’s MMB #7.
The question was:
Q7: A man bought a number of balls at a cost of $60.00, and after reserving fifteen of the balls he sold the remainder for $54.00, thus gaining 10¢ a ball by these. How many balls did he buy?
A7: The man bought 75 balls at 80¢ each, making $60.00. After retaining 15 he sold the remaining 60 at 90¢ each, making $54.00, as stated. He thus made a profit of 10¢ each on the 60 balls he resold.
Here is the MMB for this week:
You have an empty three-gallon bottle and an empty five-gallon bottle. How can you measure exactly one gallon of milk without wasting any milk?
