Hello everyone, I hope you find this newsletter useful and inspirational. Today’s “Happiness Wisdom” newsletter focuses on Hopefulness and Reaching your goals.
Don’t give up | Happiness Wisdom
“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity”
– Albert Einstein
When you are faced with obstacles in life, do not make excuses but make progress. The difficult times are your opportunities to learn and advance yourself. Do not give you.
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all (Dale Carnegie).
How to be happy | Happiness Wisdom
“Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.”
– Charles Swindoll
Happiness lies within. It is I who has the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. People or situations around you may throw a curveball, but it is up to me how I react to it. I can resort to negative emotions and feel sorry for myself and be sad or I can resort to positivism and gratitude and develop myself. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have one day, today, and I’m going to be happy with it.

Development of Character
“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.” – Helen Keller
Mind and Memory Boosters (MMBs)
At first, the answer to last week’s MMB #4.
The question was:
Q4: Two U.S. coins add up to 30 cents. If one of them is not a nickel, what are the two coins?
A4: A quarter and a nickel
Be careful of what the wording says: One is not a nickel, but the other is. This is a standard trick in the English language. When you say, “one of them is not a nickel,” it doesn’t mean that both are not nickels. The key strategy is to pay attention to the wording and not assume anything. The mind gets lured into a process that seems natural. So if you hear someone say, “one of them is not a nickel,” you may assume that the person means that both are not nickels. But the statement “one is not a nickel” does not imply that the other cannot be a nickel.
Here is the MMB for this week:
MMB#5: John is half as old as Andy was when Andy was five years older than John is now. How old is John now?
The answer will be in next week’s Happiness Wisdom Newsletter. Stay Tuned! It arrived every Tuesday morning.
Until next week…
