Hello everyone, I hope you find this newsletter useful and inspirational. Today’s “Happiness Wisdom” newsletter focuses on Hopefulness and Reaching your goals.
Be Courageous
“When we tackle obstacles, we find hidden reserves of courage and resilience we did not we had.”
– A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
When we are faced with stressful situations in our life, it is our time to show our courage and resilience. WE HAVE THEM! Don’t give up. Be patient. The storm will pass, The spring will come.
Human Emotions (Happiness, Sadness, Anger, Boredom, or Fear)
“Boredom, anger, sadness, or fear are not ‘your,’ not personal. They are conditions of the human mind. They come and go. Nothing that comes and goes is you.”
– Eckhart Tolle
Human emotions do not define us. Boredom, anger, sadness, or fear are not YOU. They change. They are just different states of the human mind. They come and go. They are not constant. They will not stay forever. Understand yourself and your emotions. Mindfulness meditation is very helpful in differentiating yourself from your emotions. You can function better when you learn to have a balance of emotions.
As Buddha said, “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” Our emotions hurt us. Find balance and practice forgiveness, gratitude, and positivism.

Soul and Body connection
“The soul is placed in the body like a rough diamond and must be polished, or the luster of it will never appear.” – Daniel Defoe
Our soul and body have a special connection. Our soul is subtle but the body is physical. Our thoughts and emotions start with the soul and its effects are seen on our body. When you get angry, its effect – flaring of nostril, flushing, increased heart rate is its effect on our physical body.
To improve health and total well-being, we also need to care for our souls. Cultivate positivism, gratitude, forgiveness, and spirituality.
Mind and Memory Boosters (MMBs)
At first, the answer to last week’s MMB #2.
The question was: If 5 cats can catch 5 mice in 5 minutes, how many cats are required to catch 100 mice in 100 minutes?
A2: Only 5, of course (unless they get tired before the job is done).
Here is the MMB for this week:
MMB#3: What day follows the day before yesterday if two days from now will be Sunday?
The answer will be in next week’s Happiness Wisdom Newsletter. Stay Tuned! It arrived every Tuesday morning.
Until next week…
